Top Three Reasons Why Visitors Don’t Buy From You!

I know it’s heart-wrenching to spend some of your personal hard earned money in advertising trying to get customers to your website. You just sit back and cant wait for the sales to start coming in. This is the feeling I had when I start my AdWords campaigns. You get all the Ads right and the product you’re an affiliate for seems to have a pretty good sales letter and conversion rate. The whole day goes by, your money is used up and everyone clicked away on your ads. To your disappointment, you check your clickbank account and see a big fat ZERO. What went wrong?

Well, the problem lies in a few key places that are worth thinking about.

1- Visitors just don’t trust you with their money! This is kind of hard to get right because we’re dealing with just a feeling that has a rational basis, but is still irrational to us sales people because we know appearance doesn’t matter, right? WRONG!
Do all you can to provide that professional look and aura to your website. If you’ve ever bought online, you know which sites made you want to get your card out, and which ones made you feel like you just entered some dark alley. Offer Money back guarantees. They won’t cost you much money because most people never even remember they had a money back guarantee. Make sure to have good contact information and service available on all your products. An about us page would be greatly helpful in gaining trust! Most customers just want to feel secure in their purchase by learning as much as they can about the seller or company. Make sure to provide that and your sales will soar!

2- The sales page is not too convincing? If you want to sell other people something, I mean you have to believe in it yourself. Having a weak sales letter is kind of annoying and there is no real meter out there for what a good sales letter is completely, because they’re all different and are meant for a specific audience. You don’t really have any way of knowing how it might be received by the market, right? WRONG!
It just takes some research and imagination, but you already know who you would buy from and you know the things that made you want to buy. Maybe not at first, but with a little bit of thought, you can study sales letters by successful internet marketers and figure out what makes you want to buy their products, and copy the technique. There are also good books and programs out there where you can copy a proven sales letter template for your own use. But make sure you don’t turn potential customers off just because you wouldn’t tell them enough about your product.

3- Errors in your sales process. This could be the most annoying and frustrating of these problems simply because the money and clientele they cost you is so apparent once you figure out what was wrong and actually start making sales. Its simple things like having the wrong affiliate code, your email capturing code being flawed, or maybe you have your links all wrong. It’s very important to make sure the technical side of your page is set up to receive and accept payment in a convenient manner. Aside from the technical, your website could also be very confusing and although people want to buy from you, they have no clue how to do so. Don’t let that happen, get a sitemap, good links, and make the customers come back!
